This course is designed for technicians who maintain and repair hybrid technology vehicles, but not the hybrid system itself. It contains theknowledge required to work safely around a vehicle's hybrid system,whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance. On completing this course, technicians will have gained both knowledge of high voltage hybrid technologies and an understanding oftheir dangers.

Course content:

• Identification of the components that make up the hybrid system
• Safety precautions to be taken before carrying out any repairprocedures on hybrid vehicles
• The identification of high voltage cabling and associated components
• The precautions required when working with hybridcomponents
• The possibility of the hybrid system affecting repairs on other vehicle systems
• The procedures required to make safe the hybrid system beforecarrying out repair activities
• The precautions taken prior to removing and replacing high voltage components, Including correct PPE.
• How to connect an additional 12 volt power source to a hybridvehicle


Basic Networked / Can-bus systems

The aim of this one-day Multiplex & CAN-bus Systems course is to provide an understanding of the fundamentals of these systems. This course will help you to understand how they work, what goes wrong and how to test and repair them.
This course is suited for technicians with a basic understanding of electrical systems, who require up-to-date knowledge of Networked / CAN-BUS systems.
