Vehicles are becoming increasingly more complex and sophisticated, therefore the need for competent technicians has never been greater. The Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) has been developed to identify these highly trained and skilled individuals.

Automotive Technician Accreditation is based on National Occupational Standards to ensure that it meets the skills requirement of the retail motor industry. Accreditation is valid for five years. Accredited Technicians must have current experience at the level they wish to be assessed.

GTG offers a wide range of ATA courses, all of which include a series of tests and various prerequisites

TECHNICIANS MUST PASS A SERIES OF TESTS (LISTED BELOW) AND AN ON-LINE KNOWLEDGE TEST
• Braking systems
• Engine electrical
• Customer liaison
• Instructional support
• Supplementary restraint systems

Prerequisites

 

Minimum of five years' industry experience required. This training is only appropriate for technicians who are updating previous training experience.
