It is a new requirement under the Health & Safety First Aid at Work Regulation 1981, that for regulatory purposes, successfully completing an Emergency First Aid course will enable the student to act as first aider in the work place. The Health and Safety at Work Act requires that emergency first aid cover be available at all times.

This course provides the skill and knowledge required to carry out emergency first aid at work and is approved by HSE.

Delegates are required to renew their certificate every three years.

Prerequisites

No previous experience is required, however delegates should have the ability to cope with stressful and physically demanding emergency procedures

Staff designated to act in the role of first aider in the workplace
