People at work can suffer a heart attack or cardiac arrest. It doesn't matter the age of your work force this can happen to anyone at any time. It is not a legal requirement to hold an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This course is designed to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge required to be a competent defibrillator user and to be able to deal with heart attack or cardiac arrest until medical help is available.

Pre-requisites

All candidates attending this course must have completed and passed a full HSE (First Aid) at Work Course. Candidates should show the following traits:-

• Must be able to demonstrate competence in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

• Reliability, disposition and communication skills

• Aptitude and ability to absorb new knowledge and learn new skills

• Ability to cope with stressful and physically demanding emergency procedures
