The LGV and PCV Driver Training course is designed to train selected personnel to drive Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) and Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) in the following categories:

The length of the training course usually consists of a five, seven or ten day course depending on a driving assessment. Driving assessment is conducted when participant has their provisional licence.

Prerequisites
  • Medical (D4 form to be completed by Doctor before sending for provisional. This can be arranged by GTG Training).
  • Provisional Licence with Category C1, C, D1 or D entitlement (GTG Training can assist in completing this form and deal with the processing to DVLA)
  • Multiple Choice and Hazard Perception Theory Tests (GTG can supply Theory Test studying material and arrange booking the tests at the nearest Test Centre)

Who should attend this training course?

Participants wishing to pursue a career as a professional Large Goods Vehicle driver or Passenger Carrying Vehicle driver.

Course Objective

To instruct participants in the skills and principles involved in driving Large Goods Vehicles and Passenger Carrying Vehicles to a standard whereby they can pass the Driving Standard Agency Driving Test. Thus enabling them to pursue their chosen career path.
