Modern Apprenticeship Programmes at GTG
The Modern Apprenticeship programmes offer people aged 16 or over the opportunity to earn while they learn, as they work towards a recognised qualification, skilled employment and greater career prospects.
The programmes offer individuals the chance to gain skills and qualifications in various different occupations. From motor vehicle technicians and vehicle refinishers to business administrators and customer services, there is a huge number of career paths to choose from, whether apprentices are coming straight from school, from further education or are already in employment.

Getting Started
Due to an overwhelming response for our Modern Apprenticeship programme our intake for 2010 is now full. The next recruitment phase will not be until March 2011. The enrolment process for next year will take place late autumn 2010. At this stage all new applicants will need to contact us for application details. If you would like us to let you know when the recruitment period is open, send a note of your email address to recruitment@gtg.co.uk
Our recruitment process involves completion of an application form, test and interview prior to being referred to our bank of employers.

Qualifications
An Apprenticeship will usually take anything from 12 to 36 months to complete, with apprentices achieving an S/NVQ level 3 qualification from City & Guilds, SQA or I.M.I.

How much will it cost?
Funding for a Modern Apprenticeship programme may be available from Scottish Enterprise, with no cost to apprentices or employers. For further information on funding a Modern Apprenticeship please contact one of GTG's programme co-ordinators.
Location
GTG Glasgow and Edinburgh train apprentices from all over the UK and programme coordinators are able to arrange suitable accommodation for those who require it.
