Greek students attend GTG

GTG Training Extends It’s Reputation Internationally

GTG is enjoying training students from around the world, most recently, a group of students from three schools in Athens. The Greeks arrived in Glasgow to attend a training course funded under the European Mobility Program, Leonardo Da Vinci, focussed on Automotive Technologies and Hybrid Cars.

The course led by experienced GTG trainer, Harry McEwan, involved time both in the classroom and workshop. The Greek group spoke partial English, however, to ensure they gained the most from their training GTG organised interpreter, Aspacia Hargreaves who is originally from Corfu, to be part of the training sessions to enhance the groups learning experience.

The group learnt the knowledge required to work safely around a vehicle’s hybrid system, whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance. On completing the course, the Greek students gained both knowledge of high voltage hybrid technologies and an understanding of their dangers.

During their time in Scotland, the group visited local attraction, the new Riverside transport museum a short walk from the training centre on South Street and travelled to the stunning shores of Loch Lomond. The capital was not neglected as there were visits to the magnificent Edinburgh castle.

GTG Training offers a huge range of courses to suit all skill levels and requirements. Contact us on 0844 826 8870 for more information.
