Fairtrade Fortnight at GTG Training

GTG make it happen by choosing Fairtrade...

GTG Training in Glasgow is delighted to announce it will be participating in Fairtrade Fortnight which this year takes place from 23rd February to 8th March. The event, run by The Fairtrade Foundation, promises to be bigger and better than ever before and presents companies with a unique opportunity to show their commitment to Fairtrade.

There are more than 4,500 Fairtrade mark certified products on the market and through Fairtrade Fortnight, The Fairtrade Foundation aims to see more of these products on shelves throughout the country, using "Make it Happen. Choose Fairtrade" as its headline. GTG Training together with its catering partner, Thistle Catering UK Ltd, is helping the cause, by promoting the event and adding new, exciting Fairtrade products to the many it already has on offer.

Currently stocking only Organic Fairtrade coffee, tea, sugar and hot chocolate, the catering at GTG Training certainly stands out from other training and conference centres. To accompany these, there is also a healthy supply of Fairtrade cookies, chocolate, cereal bars and soft beverages, all helping to support the Fairtrade at Work Campaign. To help encourage sales of Fairtrade products, Thistle catering is also introducing a loyalty scheme at GTG later in the year.

It is not only its Fairtrade policy that sets the catering at GTG Training apart from its competitors. The menu available for training and conference delegates resembles that of restaurant standards, couple this with the breathtaking glass atrium, where you can eat your lunch, and catering at GTG really is a step ahead. Everyone is catered for at the GTG café, whether opting for the daily, fresh home made soup, the healthy salad option, something from the grill or from the pasta section, there really is something for all. With dishes such as tomato and mozzarella salad with fresh basil, baked Ayrshire ham, chicken on a skewer with peppers and onions, or traditional dishes such as macaroni cheese, lasagne al forno and beef burger served in a bun with salad, visitors will not be disappointed with the choices available.

Whether visiting the centre for a training course or conference, a visit to the onsite café is a must.
