for all businesses.
Situated on South Street, in the heart of the Clydeside regeneration zone, GTG Training’s £10 million
Training and Conference facility is the ultimate place to train employees. The 61,000 sq ft facility features state of the art training equipment throughout. The facilities include; 10 IT and soft skills training rooms, a 200 seat lecture theatre, 12 technical workshops plus classrooms, a fork lift and driver training centre. They offer a wide range of training courses and programmes for all types of businesses from blue chip to haulage and are focused on what type of training your business needs.
One of GTG’s many training programmes is Health & Safety that addresses the UK government’s push for improving Health & Safety in the work place. This falls in line with the ‘European Campaign for Health & Safety at Work 2008-09’ which began in June. The main focus of the campaign is risk assessment and GTG hosted an exceptional week of Health & Safety Training in October that focused on this subject. GTG not only delivered the core training elements but also advised clients on best practice, identifying how to minimise costs and improve performance gains for all types of businesses.
GTG’s fully qualified and resourced Health & Safety Department is divided into two specialist sections. The H&S Advisory Service works with companies to create a positive and proactive Health & Safety culture, ensuring companies are compliant with current legislation and assisting with individual company risk assessments. While, the training side of the department provides a wide range of Health & Safety courses ranging from
IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH to Fire Warden, First Aid and Manual Handling. Bespoke in-house Health & Safety programmes can also be arranged.
To promote the importance of ‘European Campaign for Health & Safety at Work 2008-09,’ the GTG Advisory Service is offering free initial consultations from its specialist team. Fully qualified advisors aim to identify the Health & Safety requirements and the individual business solutions to ensure that each business is up to date and compliant with the latest Health & Safety legislation.
