Under Operator Licence legislation, all holders of National/International operator licences are required to hold, or employ someone who holds a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Our course covers the syllabus of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)
To Obtain a CPC, the candidate must pass the following:
- National /International Freight CPC Paper 1 - Multiple Choice
- National /International Freight CPC Paper 2 - Case Study
Certification
CILT (UK) Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers in Road Haulage.
Who should attend this course?
Anyone who wishes to further a career in Transport Management and any potential Transport Managers wishing to be names as a competent person on the companies operators licence.
Professional Competence in meeting Operator Licencing Laws governed by the Transport Commissioner. (Holding a Certificate of Professional Competence is one of the elements an applicant must satisfy for the Transport Commissioner to grant an "O" Licence).Course objectives
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
To assess the professional competence of those wishing to enter the transport industry in the following elements:
- Civil, Commercial, Social and Fiscal Law
- Business and financial management of the undertaking
- Access to the market
- Technical standards and Technical aspects of Operation
- Road Safety
Prerequisites
The CPC is a level 3 award (equivalent to A level standard) and to achieve success students should have a good level of numeracy and literacy skills prior to attending.
Duration
This is a ten-day instructor-led course.
Exams are available March/June/September/December.
