Forklift Truck Training
The modern lift-truck market encompasses both internal combustion and electric power sources, which require different skills from maintenance engineers. Thanks to ‘pure Fork Lift Truck’ course content addressing both power sources, apprentices will be equipped in the best possible way to work with the full range of products on the market. Once trained as a fork lift truck technician, you will be competent in electrical and hydraulic systems along with diesel and gas powered engines.
Apprentices will attend GTG's training centre on weekly block release, where they will be assessed and guided through their training and development.
Regular assessment and reviews will ensure apprentices achieve the required skills to successfully complete their modern apprenticeship.
Standard Grade 1-4, National Grade 4/5 or GSCE A-C in English, Maths and one Science or Craft/Technical subject.
This programme covers the following areas:
- Identifying faults and problems
- Removal and replacement of major components
- Electronic fault diagnostics
- Maintenance and servicing of vehicles
Each apprentice will complete the following recognised qualification I.M.I. Level 3, Vocational Award in Lift Truck Maintenance and Repair.
