Our Engineering Modern Apprenticeships take place at our automotive centres and currently include Garage Equipment Engineering Maintenance and Bus & Coach Engineering and Maintenance.
What are Engineering apprenticeships?
As an engineering apprentice, you'll be employed from the very beginning of your training, giving you a chance to earn while you learn new skills.
Depending on which course you choose, you'll learn the following skills:
- Contributing to safe working environments
- Carrying out scheduled electrical maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Transferable skills that will help you move into different areas of engineering, such as mechanical, electrical or coachbuilding.
Apprentices will undertake their chosen course at their workplace and at one of our training centres in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Wolverhampton, and a training plan will be devised for you.
Engineering Modern Apprenticeships will take around a year to achieve. Costs will vary but the apprentice may be eligible for funding depending on circumstances.
