Assertiveness is a behaviour that many people aspire to develop more of. Assertiveness is behaviour that allows a person to express honest feelings in a straight forward way and to exercise personal rights without dismissing the rights of others. Assertive people feel positive about themselves and others, and give and receive respect openly.
This interactive workshop will enable learners to develop strategies they can implement in all aspects of their lives. Learners will be given opportunity to explore concepts and behaviours associated with having a balanced approach to asserting your rights, without infringing on the rights of other people in your network. Practical approaches allow learners to express and share opinions and ideas and to develop and test assertive behaviours.
