Apprenticeship benefits for employers

Why choose GTG?

We make it easy to take on an apprentice

We recruit: GTG can help your business recruit apprentices, completely free of charge.

We train: 85% of GTG students pass their apprenticeship, compared to the national average of 69%.

We communicate: To keep you updated on your apprentice's progress, GTG instructors complete a training report after each visit, which is emailed directly to you.

We support: GTG's welfare officers are there to support students throughout their training.

How an apprenticeship can benefit your business

  • The average apprentice can deliver productivity gains of over £10,000 per year.
  • Apprentices bring fresh ideas, and energise their colleagues.
  • Apprenticeships result in a more skilled and loyal workforce.
  • There's funding available to support you and your apprentice.
  • And the best part? You'll know you helped someone get into employment.

How apprenticeships work for employers

Training will take place at your workplace, and at one of our centres. To make sure the training is right for the apprentice, we devise a training plan at the start of the apprenticeship which is agreed by everyone involved; the apprentice, the employer and GTG Training.

Apprenticeships last between one and four years, depending on the course. Course costs will vary depending on circumstances, and funding may be available.

Apprenticeship Levy

The Apprenticeship Levy is part of a government initiative to give three million apprentices access to training by 2020. Certain employers will be required by law to pay money into the levy. If the criteria apply to you, you may have some questions about apprentices, training, and what it means for your business. We're here to answer those questions for you.
