Additional training before attending Senior MET course
Assessment
The IMI's Senior MET Technician accreditation is designed for technicians whose job roles involves the inspection and maintenance of vehicles.
Candidates will have to successfully demonstrate practical competency and underpinning knowledge in order to verify their ability to Senior MET Technician level. Modules covered include:
- Cosmetic Panel Alignment
- Cooling Systems Components
- SRS - Scan Tools
- Vehicle Electrical - Basic Fault Finding
- MET - Remove/Replace/Refit
Course Prerequisites
The technician should be working in the accident repair sector of the industry and ideally have at least 3 years experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to replace various components, including returning vehicle systems to manufacturer specification and diagnosing system faults.
